Mall walkers on the rise at Plaza Bonita

The Plaza Bonita Mall opens its doors early three times a week for Club Walk, a group with as many as 250 people who simply walk the mall grounds for exercise on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. In its 23rd year, the program, co-sponsored by Paradise Valley Hospital (PVH) and the mall, continues to attract new walkers.“We are a community hospital and desire for the community to stay healthy,“ said Jane Campbell, who manages the center for health promotion at Paradise Valley Hospital.

PVH is a member of the Prime Healthcare Services hospital network.

Pilot Program Launched to Help Needy

Paradise Valley Hospital and La Maestra Community Health Centers announced an exciting partnership that will lead the way in comprehensive healthcare for South County patients. This innovative pilot project will directly address health services for more than 53% of the population in National City that live in public housing. Prime Healthcare Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit public charity funded by Dr. Prem Reddy, has leased space from Paradise Valley Hospital under a multi-year agreement for use as a clinic by La Maestra to offer primary care, pediatric care, OBGYN and behavioral health services.
